MORE INFOWhen Lake Burley Griffin was filled in the early 60’s one of the most common sights was the Seafly dinghy. During that era, races were sailed using several fixed buoys, located around the lake, over a figure-8 course. After many years of competitive sailing a variety of trophies were awarded. The intention today is to race under a similar format to see which boat from all Divisions can complete the first lap (subject to completing their respective course) in the fastest time and to award some of those older trophies to sailors.
