Parking Update for Sailors - important changes

The Canberra Southern Cross Club has implemented paid parking to reduce unauthorised use of the car park area. We have worked closely with them on planning the change to ensure continued access for sailors.

CYC Sailing School Enrolment Open

Enrolments now open! The CYC's very popular family, adult and children's sailing courses plus youth sailing squad places are now available for application. If you are not sure where to start then have a look at our Sailing Pathways page here. Places fill quickly on all our courses! Sailability at the CYC

The Canberra Yacht Club offers Sailability, an international program to assist people of all-abilities to get into sailing. This is by providing an additional level of support, an established network of volunteers, and resources to assist participants. Equipment is provided to assist those with limited mobility to get into and out of boats, with modified docking areas that are accessible and affordable options to participate. Different types of boats are provided including the Hansa Class that are easy to sail. If you have a disability and wish to experience “Freedom on the Water”, you are especially welcome typically Sunday morning. Find out more and Book Online here.

Buoyed Up at the Canberra Yacht Club
Buoyed Up with Tackers, is an initiative which assists vulnerable children aged 7-12 years to participate in the Junior Sailing program as a way to build confidence, self-esteem and engage in an active lifestyle. The program provides children from disadvantaged backgrounds with a unique fun-based opportunity that will enhance their general life skills and capabilities. CYC Boat Shop

The CYC Boat Shop has a comprehensive range for all your sailing requirements. We stock boat fittings, stainless wire, clothing, fiberglass repair kits, nuts & bolts, rope, paint, bags, and much more. We are located downstairs beside the CYC office. Monday to Friday 9.30 am to 4.00pm - Sunday 9.30am to 12.00 noon race days only. For all your boat repair needs or simply because you cant help yourself, come and check out the shop! Phone 6273 4777
