Sailability

Sailability at the CYC

The Canberra Yacht Club offers Sailability, an international program to assist people of all-abilities to get into sailing. This is by providing an additional level of support, an established network of volunteers, and resources to assist participants. Equipment is provided to assist those with limited mobility to get into and out of boats, with modified docking areas that are accessible and affordable options to participate. Different types of boats are provided including the Hansa Class that are easy to sail. If you have a disability and wish to experience “Freedom on the Water”, you are especially welcome typically Sunday morning. Find out more and Book Online here.

16 Jul 2024, 6:51 pm  France's Côme Vic-Molinero and Fatima Tia applied pressure on Lorenzo Sirena and Alice Dessy in the Nacra 15 class on the second day of racing at the Youth Sailing World Championships.
British Classic Week Day 2
16 Jul 2024, 6:20 pm  Day 2 of British Classic Week began with ominous grey clouds, 1.5m+ swell, and 25+ knots. Race Officer Peter Saxton made the decision to adapt the scheduled Around the Island Race into long passage races in the comparative shelter of the Solent.
SailGP Championships & looking ahead to Paris 2024

ACO 13th Musto Skiff 2024 Worlds Day 1
16 Jul 2024, 2:31 pm  After glorious warm sunshine over the weekend, the 73-strong fleet was greeted with a typical beautiful British summer day of 20 knots and torrential rain.
