Sailability

Sailability at the CYC

The Canberra Yacht Club offers Sailability, an international program to assist people of all-abilities to get into sailing. This is by providing an additional level of support, an established network of volunteers, and resources to assist participants. Equipment is provided to assist those with limited mobility to get into and out of boats, with modified docking areas that are accessible and affordable options to participate. Different types of boats are provided including the Hansa Class that are easy to sail. If you have a disability and wish to experience “Freedom on the Water”, you are especially welcome typically Sunday morning. Find out more and Book Online here.

Buoyed Up with Tackers

Buoyed Up at the Canberra Yacht Club
Buoyed Up with Tackers, is an initiative which assists vulnerable children aged 7-12 years to participate in the Junior Sailing program as a way to build confidence, self-esteem and engage in an active lifestyle. The program provides children from disadvantaged backgrounds with a unique fun-based opportunity that will enhance their general life skills and capabilities. Cup Spy May 17: Good numbers at last
20 May 2024, 12:43 am  Two teams(USA and GBR) sailed AC75s on Friday out of Barcelona, on a day blessed with a good solid sailing breeze. ETNZ sailed both their AC40s in contested training for all three sailing squads - Womens, Youth and Defence.
